Beyond Afghanistan/No Drones special extra planning meeting, Thursday, March 3, 2016, 7 PM

At our regular monthly meeting last week, we decided to take advantage of the election season to raise our issues at campaign events leading up to the NY State primary on April 19^th (and perhaps at events later in the campaign, too).  We decided to have a banner, Wars Make Refugees, and a leaflet linking this issue to our ongoing concern about the need for US diplomacy rather than proxy wars accelerated by drone killings, arms sales and special forces. Hopefully , some of us can also get into the events to ask questions.

Here are some of the things we need to figure out:

• Getting the banner – size (how many people needed to hold it) & colors
• Developing a handout
• Getting info on candidate visits
• Scheduling ourselves in teams/recruiting others? to attend the events
• Media outreach
• Buttons – size and colors
