A Valentine’s Day event organized by Grannies for Peace, , with filmmaker Cynthia Lazaroff! Sunday, February 14, 2021 From 2 PM to 3:30 PM
On Valentine’s Day, we Grannies have for years vigiled, weaving our concern about many peace and justice issues into a tapestry of love. This year, because of the coronavirus, we will gather with Grannies’ friends and allies on Zoom for a program focused on the threat of nuclear weapons and the need for changed US nuclear policy, especially in light of the new UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
We’ll see a wonderful 40 minute CODEPINK video interview of Cynthia Lazaroff, a film maker working on nuclear weapons issues – and Cynthia will join us for a short follow-up presentation, with a chance for us to pose comments and questions.
We’ll close with Cynthia’s 5 minute video, Mourning Armageddon
With many years of Valentine’s Day vigiling for a foreign policy based on love, Grannies for Peace calls on grannies and allies to learn and act on this existential challenge.
